Getting started
What is ww.ws?
A small city on the web. You rent a plot, and with it an address like ww.ws/yourname: a page with your name, bio and links, and a house in the city that people can walk past and step into.
What do I get with a plot?
Your address, a page with up to 6 links, a house you can rebuild, rooms inside with 3 objects that each have their own link, a guestbook and a badge for your website. Plots start at $6 a year.
Do I need to know how to code or build?
No. Every plot comes with a ready-made house you can keep. To change it, describe what you want to the AI architect, or build it block by block in the editor.
How do I pick a plot? Does location matter?
Pick a lot for sale on the map, or use Find a plot. A house plot costs $6–$24 a year depending on how close it is to a plaza. Central plots get more people walking past and are listed higher in the Directory, but we can’t promise visitor numbers.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. The map, everyone’s pages and the Directory are free to browse without an account. Signed out, you can also claim a plot in test mode: nothing is charged, and it only lives in your browser.
How do I sign in?
With Google, Apple or GitHub; ww.ws has no passwords of its own. You can link more than one of them to the same account on your account page.
Your address
Which names can I use?
Lowercase letters a–z and digits 0–9, 2 to 16 characters, with no spaces, dots or hyphens. Words the site uses (like admin, api or pricing), offensive words and names that impersonate ww.ws or well-known brands can’t be claimed.
Do short handles cost more?
Handles of 5 or more characters are included. Shorter ones cost extra each year: $19 for 4 characters, $79 for 3 and $249 for 2, billed with your plot.
Can I change my handle?
Not yet. A handle can’t be renamed or moved to another account today. You can claim a second address with its own plot.
Can I have more than one address?
Yes. One account can hold several addresses. Each address has one plot, so a second address comes with a second plot.
What happens to my address if I stop paying?
If you cancel, everything stays up until the end of the period you paid for. If a renewal fails, you have 14 days to fix the payment while your page and house stay up. After that the plot goes back to the city, and your handle is held for 30 days so only you can claim it again.
Can someone take my name?
Not while your plan is active, and not during the 30-day hold after it ends. We only step in on impersonation or trademark complaints, as the Terms describe.
Your page and links
What can I put on my page?
Your name, a short bio, your links and your house. Inside the house you can place notes, art, lists and links, each with its own address like ww.ws/you/books.
How many links can I add?
6 per address, or 20 with Pro. An organisation’s page can have 20. If your page had more links before these limits, you keep them all, but you can’t add new ones until you are under the limit.
What does verifying a link do, and how?
It shows the site or profile is really yours: the link gets a ✓ and is listed first. You can verify GitHub, Bluesky, Mastodon and your own website, usually by adding ww.ws/yourname to that profile or site. X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and most other platforms can’t be checked yet.
Why did my ✓ disappear?
We re-check verified links every 30 days. If the proof is gone, you have 7 days to put it back before the ✓ is removed. The link itself stays on your page.
Why does my link say “Checking…” or “Hidden”?
Every link is checked against Google Safe Browsing when you add it and again every 7 days, and unsafe links can’t be added. “Checking…” means the check hasn’t finished: visitors see the link but can’t click it yet. “Hidden” means a check found it unsafe, so visitors don’t see it; you still do, and it comes back by itself if a later check finds it clean.
Will my links help my SEO?
No. Every link on ww.ws is nofollow, so it passes no search ranking. Your page itself can show up in search, and a verified link also carries rel="me", which tells sites like Mastodon that both profiles belong to you.
Your house
Can I rebuild or redesign my house?
Yes, as often as you like, at no extra cost. Keep the ready-made house, describe a new one to the AI architect, or build it block by block.
How many AI designs do I get?
The AI architect: 10 designs a month, up to 5 a day. The interior decorator has its own allowance: 10 runs a month, up to 5 a day. With Pro, and in organisation buildings: 200 designs and 200 decorator runs a month, up to 40 and 40 a day. Runs that fail or get cut off don’t count. Now and then the AI helpers rest until the next day or month, when the city’s shared AI budget is used up; that doesn’t use your allowance.
Are there building rules?
Yes, so the city stays tidy. A house on a 1×1 plot can be up to 28 blocks high and use 6,000 blocks (9,000 with Pro), in the city’s 32 colours, with a front door you can reach from the path. Some districts also set roof and wall colours.
Can I furnish the inside?
Yes. Every house has rooms to furnish, and you can place 3 objects with their own short links, like ww.ws/you/books. Pro gives you 40 objects and 10× the room budget.
Can I move to another plot or transfer my handle?
Not yet. Both are planned.
Visitors
How does the guestbook work?
Signed-in visitors can knock and leave a short note (up to 140 characters, no links) with a stamp, once a day per house. You can hide or delete any note on your page.
What are stamps?
Stamps go in your stamp book: one for each house you visit or knock at (once a day each), plus stamps for milestones and for the yokai you spot around town. They are just for fun and are never spent.
Can I see who visited?
You see how many people came: a 7-day total for free, and daily charts for 7, 30 and 90 days plus link clicks with Pro. You never see who visited; only people who sign your guestbook are named.
Are my visits to other houses private?
Yes. Visits are counted anonymously: we store a code that changes every day instead of your IP address or account. Owners only see numbers.
Organisations
What is a seat?
A place for one member, $2.50 a year. Each member gets their own address ww.ws/name (not ww.ws/company/name) and a lit window in your building; every 10 seats add a floor.
How many seats do we need, and what does it cost?
At least 10 seats on a house lot, 20 on a shop lot, 30 in an office block and 100 downtown. You pay for the seats plus the land, from $31 a year, with 10% off from 100 seats and 20% off from 250.
How do people join, and who manages them?
Send an invite link or approve join requests. The account that owns the organisation’s address manages it and can remove members at any time; roles are titles shown next to members’ names. A removed member keeps their address only if they have a plan of their own.
Can we change the number of seats?
Yes, at any time. Adding seats charges the prorated difference right away; removing seats credits it on your next invoice.
Can we rebuild our building?
The first build is free. After that, each rebuild needs a permit that is valid for 30 days: $9 plus $5 per 100 seats, demolition included.
How do we show our name and logo?
Verify your domain with a DNS TXT record or a small file on your site. Once it is verified, your organisation page shows your name and logo.
What is the exhibition hall?
The ground floor of your building, a hall for your work or products. It starts with room for 45 exhibits, each linking to your site, and grows with your seats up to 200.
Can a brand or community get a whole district?
Yes: a themed neighbourhood with 30 plots to hand out, for $499 a year plus $5 for each extra plot. Districts aren’t sold online yet, so write to support@ww.ws.
Pro
What’s in Pro?
Visit charts for 7, 30 and 90 days with link clicks, 1.5× the block budget, dusk and night lighting, 10× the room budget with 40 objects, 200 AI designs a month, 20 links per address and no “Made on ww.ws” line. It covers every address you own.
How much is Pro, and how do I cancel it?
$4 a month or $36 a year. Cancel any time on your account page → Manage billing; Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
Does Pro make my house more visible?
No. Pro never buys rank, link weight or a better spot on the map.
Billing
Which currency? Is tax included?
Prices are in US dollars, without tax. Stripe Tax adds any VAT, GST or sales tax at checkout from your billing address, and you see it before you pay.
How can I pay?
Through Stripe Checkout, with a card or any other method Stripe offers in your country. We never see your full card number.
How do renewals work?
Plots, short handles and organisation seats are billed yearly in advance; Pro monthly or yearly. Each plan renews automatically at the price you paid until you cancel.
Can I get a refund?
Yes: a full refund within 7 days of buying or of a renewal, no questions asked. Email support@ww.ws from your account’s address. See the refund policy.
What if a payment fails?
Stripe tries again, and you have 14 days to update your card in Manage billing. Meanwhile your page stays up and your house is shown dimmed on the map; it’s back to normal as soon as the payment goes through. If it still fails, the plot goes back to the city and your handle is held for 30 days.
Where are my invoices and receipts?
On your account page → Manage billing, which opens Stripe’s billing portal with all your invoices. You can update your card there too.
How do I cancel?
On your account page → Manage billing. The plan stays live until the end of the period you paid for and then doesn’t renew. Can’t sign in? Email support@ww.ws and we’ll cancel it for you.
Safety and privacy
What data do you keep?
What an account and a page need: your name, email and picture from your sign-in provider, what you publish, and your subscriptions. Stripe handles payment details; we never see your card number. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Do you use analytics or ads?
We use Google Analytics to count visits, with its advertising features switched off. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it sets no cookies. There are no ads and no cross-site trackers.
What happens to what I type to the AI?
Your words and a description of your plot or room go to Anthropic’s Claude to make the design, without your name or email. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms they aren’t used for training, and we don’t keep your prompts, only a count for your monthly allowance.
How do I report something?
Use the Report button on a page, a house, a guestbook note or an object (you need to be signed in), or email support@ww.ws. A note or object reported by 3 people is hidden until we look at it.
What happens when someone breaks the rules?
We can hide a note or an object, put the generated house back, remove signboard art, or suspend an address so it disappears from the map, the Directory and search. The Terms list what isn’t allowed.
How do I delete my account or data?
There is no delete button yet. Cancel your plans in Manage billing, then email support@ww.ws from your account’s address, and we delete your account within 30 days.

Which languages does ww.ws speak?

Email support@ww.ws. We usually answer within a few business days.
Who runs ww.ws?
Glory Lab, Inc., a Delaware corporation.
